This pendant features a rose-cut garnet that has been shattered then healed by the red-hot molten silver that is now embedded in it as much as it embraces it. This is technically a flaw, as the stone has been broken, but it reminds me of Japanese Kintsugi, the use of fixing a broken object with a precious metal, and embracing the history and uniqueness of the object.
